6. TRACKS ACROSS AUSTRALIA
In 1977, 27-year-old Robyn Davidson, along with her dog and four camels, embarked on a daring expedition across the barren, unforgiving terrain of the outback.
7. AN EMAIL: ROAD TRIP AROUND AUSTRALIA
Write an email to your best friend describing your trip around Australia. Make sure to tell him/her what you did on the trip, where the trip was, why you had the trip. Include more details. Write at least one paragraph.
8. BROCHURE PROJECT
Use the Internet to become familiar with facts about Australia’s tourists’ attractions and culture. Work in pair and create a travel brochure for Australia. Follow the link to an attached PDF with things to include on your brochure.

9. PROJECT: Australia Presentation
Objective: To research and present information about various aspects of Australia in groups, using PowerPoint presentations.
Instructions:
Work in pairs. Choose one of the following topics:

Using the Toolbox on page 98-102 in your Textbook, research your topic and prepare a PowerPoint presentation with facts, pictures, and other relevant information. The time for your presentation should be between 3-6 minutes. Each group member should contribute to the presentation. You can bring notes but you should know the presentation by heart.

The teacher will evaluate the presentations based on the following criteria:
